EXHIBITION OF DESIGNS – NEXT WAVE

Bexhill Museum

On Saturday 3rd October, Rother District Council and HTA Architects will hold an open exhibition of landscape designs for the regeneration of the De La Warr terrace, Metropole Lawn & West Parade.

The exhibition will be held at the newly renovated Bexhill Museum between 10am and 4pm. The design team will be on hand to explain the process that has brought the project to this point and answer your questions. There will also be an opportunity to give your feedback on the Next Wave scheme.

The Next Wave seafront programme aims to make the most of Bexhill's key asset – its seafront. The refurbishment of the seafront is a key component of the regeneration plans for Bexhill and will offer something for residents and visitors alike. The exhibition will feature plans for the landscaping of the Metropole Lawn and the promenade along West Parade, including lighting, furniture, planting and activity areas.

The plans have been drawn up using industry-leading expertise, knowledge of previous public consultations, from the Edwardian legacy and Tim Gale's report as well as work conducted through the 'Spaceshaper' workshop with seafront user groups.

There will also be an opportunity to join a member of the design team from HTA on a visualisation walk along the promenade and Metropole lawn this will provide further insight into the design process and programme.

Walks will leave the museum at 12 noon and 2pm and last approx 45mins - 1hour
